The villa of Wesley Sneijder, the Dutch star of Istanbul's Galatasaray soccer club, was raided by Dutch police, the Dutch press reported Wednesday night.
According to news reports, the raid was carried out last Friday in Utrecht on suspicion of drug possession. The prosecution office has yet to make a statement about the issue.
Meanwhile, Sneijder's wife and agent said there were no elements of a crime found during the search.
They also said Sneijder is considering suing police for damages.
