World leaders perform Friday prayer together near Gallipoli

Dozens of leaders from the Muslim world perform Friday prayer, together at a mosque in the historical Turkish province of Çanakkale

Leaders from the Muslim Countries who came to Turkey to join the 100th anniversary of the victory of the Gallipoli Battle in 1915, on Friday, April 24, 2015, remembered the fallen soldiers when they performed Friday prayer at a Mosque in Çanakkale.



Dignitaries from around 90 countries have joined Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for the memorial service at the site of the battle at Cape Helles, on the Turkish Peninsula.



Seventeen countries are being represented at the level of president, five countries at the level of prime minister in the event, which has also drawn 28 ministers, three vice presidents and one former president to the West of Turkey.



The afternoon events were divided into two parts: Friday prayer for the Muslim leaders and a boat ride for the non-Muslim leaders.



The leaders from Muslim countries performed the prayer along with the President Erdoğan at Yahya Çavuş Şehitleri Mosque,while a special reception and a boat ride with The Savarona, the official yacht of the Turkish presidency, along the Dardanelles Strait have been offered to non-Muslim leaders, who did not attend the prayer service.
