Codes of the new era

President Erdoğan and Prime Minister Davutoğlu named the operations as a new process. The Prime Minister said, “This is not a point operation, it's a process”. It's not just a new process, we've entered a new era.

Turkey is re-regulating its relations with the Western world, especially with the U.S. On top of that, Turkey is playing an important role in the war against ISIL. While abandoning the concept directed at not conducting an operation due to the ongoing Resolution Process, Turkey started operations directed at PKK.

We are face to face with a new situation compared to last week. Now, Turkey has taken its side in the armed struggle against DEAŞ (ISIL).

1-Active participation in the war against ISIL.

2-Active struggle against PKK.

3-Operations directed at DHKP-C.

For the first time in its history, Turkey simultaneously shot targets in two different countries. PKK camps in Iraq and ISIL targets in Syria had been annihilated. The Turkish Air Force Command conducted one of the biggest operations in its history. Simultaneously, land operations directed at Iraq and Syria had been conducted. Through long ranged artilleries, the region had been kept under fire.

PKK and Qandil experienced a trauma following the attack on the Zap Camp after not being exposed to operations for a long time.

What kept PKK pondering was the mutual agreement between Turkey and US, rather than the beginning of air operations after a long time. PKK is now experiencing confusion against the agreement between Turkey and US, after leaning on US and working against Turkey until now.

Qandil has been hit. Now, it's time for the “small Qandils” within our borders.

Before the city settlements of PKK are neutralized, the camps in the rural areas of Başkale, Lice, Batman and Hakkari are disintegrated, and the perception that the region has been handed over to PKK is broken, operations cannot reach their objectives.

Because, the element that puts pressure on politics and the regional community is no longer Qandil or Zap; it's the camps that are settled only 10-15 km away from the cities.

If we are to talk about the codes of the new process;

ISIL served for everything other than the Islam perception. However, mostly to PKK–PYD. If Qandil formed an organization under the name of ISIL, they wouldn't have benefitted this much. By means of struggling against ISIL, PKK–PYD has formed the secular libertarian Kurds, who are fighting against the radical Islamist terror, perception in the West.

They have been regarded as the arms of the U.S. in the field against ISIL.

PKK – PYD captured the opportunity to become legitimated over ISIL and acquired the power from lolling against the U.S.

Due to lolling against the U.S., Cemil Bayık called off the Resolution Process and started the war process.

With the power granted by lolling against the U.S., he demanded the U.S. to become the third eye in the Resolution Process.

He sat in Qandil and hurled threats at Turkey.

At the present point; Turkey and the U.S. refreshed their old alliance. These two allies, who came together for fighting against ISIL together, reached an agreement on the matter of İncirlik Base's usage. The PKK experienced the greatest shock over this news. Countries can sometimes steer towards such big alliances.

Following the alliance with the U.S., equilibriums have changed. The following are the codes of the new era;

The steps taken on the matters of İncirlik Base's usage and war against ISIL changed the perception of Turkey in the West. With a skillful move, Turkey got out of the ISIL frame it was forced to be related with. We are now a country that is fighting against ISIL and opened the İncirlik Base to its ally, the U.S. This caused the collapse of the front against Turkey and helped to exceed the psychological gap. From now on, don't be surprised if you start reading news like “secular Turkey is fighting against ISIL”, instead of “jihadist warriors are joining ISIL from Turkey”, after the Western alliance.

I wonder; what will the ones, who had been trying to put Turkey in the same frame with ISIL until now, trying to present our country as ISIL's patron while we are suffering from ISIL, and doing all they can to form the “AKP – ISIL cooperation” perception, do against this new situation?

Putting up a simultaneous struggle against three terrorist organizations in two countries, is important for Turkey in terms of presenting its operational capability. However, this shouldn't deceive us.

Neither will ISIL be removed after our intervention, nor will the PKK end after we bombed Qandil. For 30 years, we've been bombing the PKK camps, however the PKK still exists. On the contrary, they've grown even further and have become a regional actor. Besides, as long as the conditions that gave birth to ISIL exists, how can ISIL end?

As a state, we've shown our determination and made interventions directed at breaking the effectiveness of these organizations. Armed intervention against an armed structure is inevitable. Besides, this helped us get out of the ISIL frame we've been undeservedly put into, and fixed our perception. With one move, the psychological gap in the West has been exceeded. However, the provision of security didn't cause us to submit to security policies.

While the operations continue, Prime Minister Davutoğlu's willpower on the matter of the Resolution Process is important. Davutoğlu's “Respondents can change, but the Resolution Process stays intact. We won't make any compromises in our support towards the Resolution Process” words are an important guarantee. The Resolution Process will continue; however, it's clear that it won't be in the same format. The parameters of the new process are yet to be revealed. However, in the same way that the PKK said “arms in one hand, politics in the other”, Ankara might also pass to an “arms in one hand, resolution in the other” format.

PKK exploited the Resolution Process in order to become a local authority by means of establishing dominance over the region with their armed elements. This needs to be changed. However, this shouldn't be rendered as the idea that the absolute resolution will be provided through operations. Qandil can be hit, and the “small-Qandils” within us can be silenced, however; the doors to the state of emergency shouldn't be opened.

Operations should be our tool for struggle, not our new policy.

WARNING FOR OUR POLICE STATIONS:

A final point and an important warning. The PKK, who becomes damaged in this type of operation, has a reflex. In order to present a “we're standing strong” image, inject morale to their militants and to return Turkey to the old days, they are raiding our police stations. In the past, the organization attacked our police stations and martyred our soldiers in order to get out of the difficult situation they were under. This time, they might attempt a similar action. Thus, I'm making a warning now. Be cautious with our police stations. In order to prevent moms from experiencing sorrow, we should warn our police stations against possible PKK attacks and let them take precautions. I hope that by taking precautions we won't experience what we fear.
